Dogbabies

I know that other people believe they have adorable dogs, and I’m sure they do. But not as adorable as these two.

Hunter is almost 10 now, but often mistaken for a puppy. She is a wild little soul given to fits of crazy running, ball fetching, squirrel chasing, and roughhousing with her ‘brother’ Quinn. She is also a world-class cuddle-bug. Hunter came to me via Boston Buddies, a Boston Terrier rescue group in California. www.bostonbudies.org.

Quinn came to me from the Midwest via a Boston Terrier rescue on Cape Cod. He was born deaf and dumped into rescue around his first birthday. Other than slight balance and coordination problems (he sometimes topples over when lifting his leg to pee), Quinn is not bothered by being deaf. He knows a lot of hand signals and looks to Hunter for guidance, which is sometimes a mistake. He loves long walks, eating dead stuff, and being petted. He also likes to roll in smelly stuff, but luckily his aim is bad and he usually rolls beside dead stuff.
